This Refund Policy applies to all fees paid by students and parents, including but not limited to tuition fees, application fees, examination fees, and any other associated fees. This policy is designed to ensure transparency and fairness in the refund process.
General Principles
- Non-Refundable Fees: Certain fees, such as application fees and registration fees, are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Eligibility for Refunds: Refund eligibility is based on the timing of the refund request and the specific circumstances leading to the request.
- Documentation: Requests for refunds must be accompanied by appropriate documentation and submitted within the stipulated time frames.
Refund Categories and Conditions
Tuition Fees
- Full Refund: A full refund of tuition fees will be granted if a student withdraws from the institute before the commencement of the academic term.
- Partial Refund: A partial refund may be granted if a student withdraws within the first two weeks of the academic term. The refundable amount will be prorated based on the duration of attendance.
- No Refund: No refund will be provided if a student withdraws after the first two weeks of the academic term, except in exceptional circumstances (e.g., severe illness, relocation due to parent’s job transfer).

Examination Fees
- Full Refund: A full refund of examination fees will be granted if the student withdraws from the examination within the prescribed withdrawal period specified by the examination board.
- No Refund: No refund will be provided if the withdrawal request is made after the prescribed withdrawal period.

Other Fees
- Non-Refundable Fees: Fees for uniforms, textbooks, extracurricular activities, and other miscellaneous items are non refundable once issued or used.
- Refundable Fees: Fees paid for services not yet rendered (e.g., upcoming field trips) may be refundable if the request is made prior to the service being provided.

Exceptional Circumstances.
In cases of exceptional circumstances, such as severe medical conditions or family emergencies, the institute may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificates, relocation letters) must be provided.
Refund Request Procedure.
Written Request: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the school administration. The request should include the student’s name, grade, reason for withdrawal, and supporting documentation.
Submission Deadline: Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the event leading to the request (e.g., date of withdrawal, date of exam).
Review Process: The administration will review the refund request and supporting documentation. This process may take up to 30 days.
Notification: Applicants will be notified of the decision in writing. If approved, refunds will be processed within 15 days of notification.

Refund Method.
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method. For payments made by bank transfer, refunds will be transferred to the same bank account. For payments made by cash or cheque, refunds will be issued by cheque.
Appeals
If a refund request is denied, the applicant may appeal the decision by submitting a written appeal to the school board within 14 days of the notification. The appeal should state the grounds for reconsideration and include any additional supporting documentation. The school board’s decision on the appeal is final.
Amendments to the Policy
Colegio Real Educational Institute reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes to the policy will be communicated to students and parents through official channels and will be applicable from the date of notice.
