This course offers a comprehensive overview of the significant impact that atmospheric processes have on various aspects of the environment, including crop and animal production, ecology, and ecosystem functions. It delves into the matter and energy cycling that influence the climate, chemical processes in the atmosphere, water resources, biodiversity, and the geographical distribution of vegetation, which ultimately shape the functioning of the biosphere and the maintenance of the world’s ecosystems.

It addresses natural and human-induced changes and their impact on the climate, water resources, and biogeochemical cycles. It explores the variation of ecological functions concerning climate, hydrology, soil, and biological conditions, as well as the impact of resource exploitation and land cover changes on climate, hydrology, and biogeochemical cycles in different areas.
